Cosmic Charlie
Performs “Europe ’72″

Cosmic Charlie is well known around the Southeast for their high energy take on live Grateful Dead music. On Sat. 5.9.15 the band takes on a new approach: a complete rendering of the Dead’s triple-live “Europe ’72″ album.

Triple albums have been a rare feat in the history of classic rock. Rare but epic. “Europe “72″ is worthy of membership in this exclusive club that includes The Band’s “The Last Waltz” and George Harrison’s “All Things Must Pass”.

The six sided vinyl release debuted many of the Dead’s best loved tunes, including “Tennessee Jed”, “Brown Eyed Women” and “He’s Gone”. Also rounding out the album are some extended jam versions of “Truckin’” and “Morning Dew”.

Come on down and hear the entire album performed live on stage in one EPIC evening!

BIO:
Cosmic Charlie was born in the musical Mecca of Athens, Georgia. From its summer 1999 inception, the band has been swiftly cementing its reputation as a band that puts a unique and personal twist on the Grateful Dead catalogue, a Dead cover band for folks that are ambivalent about Dead cover bands. Rather than mimicking the Dead exactly, Cosmic Charlie chooses to tap into the Dead’s energy and style as a foundation on which to build. The result is healthy balance of creativity and tradition, and both the band and its audience are taken to that familiar edge with the sense that, music is being made on the spot that night.
